Adventure Background
For generations, the lighthouse at Saltcliff Point has guided ships safely through treacherous waters. The current keeper, Kalli Vale, has served faithfully for fifteen years. Three weeks ago, while inspecting the lighthouse foundation after a storm, she discovered an unusual pearl in a bed of oysters. This artifact, an ancient prison for a water elemental, found its way to her tower.
When she brought the pearl into the lighthouse, Kalli unknowingly weakened its bonds. Over several days, the elemental’s influence seeped into her mind. Now possessed, she uses the lighthouse to mislead ships, deliberately wreaking vengeance for centuries of imprisonment.
